Open to the general public. Deutsche Bahn also sells discounted junior variants ("My BahnCard", under 27) for BahnCard 25, 50 and 100 at reduced prices; standard adult pricing applies otherwise. No residency restriction stated on the page checked.

Each BahnCard is sold as a 1-year card (with automatic renewal unless cancelled), and DB also offers a 3-month trial version of BahnCard 25 and BahnCard 50 at a reduced price.

The page also showed a time-limited promotional price for BahnCard 25 valid only during September 2026, which is not a stable figure and is excluded above.

Rezerwacje miejsc

Seat reservations on long-distance trains remain separate and are not included in the discount cards; DB sells them as an optional add-on regardless of BahnCard tier.

Cards auto-renew annually unless cancelled in time, so a cancellation deadline applies. BahnCard 25/50 discounts exclude certain fare types (e.g. City-Ticket is excluded from the BahnCard 25 discount per the page).
