Co obejmuje

A family of discount cards giving 1/3 off most rail fares on the Great Britain National Rail network. 16-25 Railcard is for young people and mature students. Two Together Railcard is for two named people who travel together. Senior Railcard is for people 60 and over. Family & Friends Railcard covers up to 4 adults and 4 children travelling together, with children's fares discounted separately.

16-25 Railcard: ages 16 to 25, or a mature student meeting separate criteria. Two Together Railcard: two specific named adults who travel together. Senior Railcard: age 60 or over. Family & Friends Railcard: named adults and children aged 5 to 15 travelling as a group. All require proof of eligibility (ID, birth date or student status) at purchase.

Jak długo obowiązuje

Each Railcard is sold as a 1-year card; the 16-25, Senior and Family & Friends Railcards are also sold as 3-year cards. The 16-25 Railcard can be bought or renewed up to and including the day before the holder's 26th birthday for the 1-year card, or 24th birthday for the 3-year card.

Ile kosztuje

£35 for a 1-year card (16-25, Senior, Family & Friends, Two Together); £80 for a 3-year card (16-25, Senior, Family & Friends). Subject to change by the issuer.

Rezerwacje miejsc

Not applicable. Railcards are fare discounts, not passes, and do not themselves require or include seat reservations; ordinary ticket reservation rules apply.

Na czym ludzie się przejeżdżają

Great Britain only, does not cover Northern Ireland or international rail. Discount does not apply to every ticket type or every time of day; the Two Together Railcard discount applies only after 09:30 on weekdays, or any time at weekends and public holidays. A minimum fare after discount can apply. Family & Friends gives 1/3 off adult fares and around 60% off named children's fares, not a flat discount for the whole party.
