Co obejmuje

CartaFRECCIA is Trenitalia's free loyalty programme, earning points mainly on Frecciarossa, Frecciargento and Frecciabianca (Le Frecce) and Intercity travel, redeemable for upgrades, lounge access and rewards. Carta Verde and Carta Argento were age-based fare discount cards giving reduced fares on Intercity, Intercity Notte and Regional trains (not on Le Frecce high-speed services).

Kto może kupić

CartaFRECCIA: open to anyone who registers, no age or nationality restriction stated. Carta Verde was for ages 12 up to (not including) 26. Carta Argento was for ages 60 and over, with the card free for those aged 75 and over.

Jak długo obowiązuje

CartaFRECCIA membership itself does not expire, but status tiers (Argento, Oro, Platino, Platino Infinito) are earned and reviewed on a rolling basis tied to points activity. Carta Verde and Carta Argento, where still valid, run for 1 year from issue.

Ile kosztuje

CartaFRECCIA is free to join. Carta Verde cost 40 euros and Carta Argento cost 30 euros (free for over-75s) for a 1-year card, as published on trenitalia.com, but as of 1 April 2026 Trenitalia states neither Carta Verde nor Carta Argento can be newly purchased; cards already issued remain valid until they expire.

Rezerwacje miejsc

Not applicable to CartaFRECCIA status itself. Carta Verde and Carta Argento discounts apply to Intercity/Regional fares and follow the reservation rules of the underlying ticket; they do not apply to Le Frecce high-speed services at all.

As of 1 April 2026, Carta Verde and Carta Argento are discontinued for new sign-ups, so this entry is now largely historical for those two cards; only CartaFRECCIA remains an active, joinable scheme. Where still valid, Carta Verde and Carta Argento discounts exclude Le Frecce trains entirely and give a smaller discount on weekday Avant-type or sleeper services than on standard fares.
