What it covers: Unlimited travel with participating train, ferry and some public transport operators across 33 European countries. Holders get two travel days (one outbound, one inbound) usable in their own country of residence; unlimited use in other network countries on chosen travel days.
Who can buy it: Must be resident in one of the 33 countries in the pass network (this is what separates Interrail from Eurail, which is sold to non-European residents). Sold in Adult, Youth (12-27) and Senior (60+) bands; children aged 4-11 travel free with an accompanying pass-holding adult, under 4 travel free without a pass.
How long it lasts: Sold as either a Flexi pass (a set number of travel days usable within a fixed window, e.g. several days within one month) or a Continuous pass (unbroken validity for a set number of days up to three months). Exact day/window combinations are listed on the product page but were not itemised in the fetched content.
What it costs: Price varies, no stable figure published on the fetched page; the site calculates price dynamically by age band, class, pass type and duration in the buyer's chosen currency and states prices cannot be compared once a currency is picked. Third-party resellers (not the issuer) commonly quote a 2025/2026 second-class adult range from roughly EUR 283 (4 days in 1 month) up to roughly EUR 956 (3 months continuous), but this was not confirmed as a stable issuer-published figure.
Seat reservations: Required for most high-speed and night trains, at an additional cost paid separately from the pass; a higher-priced 'Plus' pass variant bundles most such reservation costs.
What catches people out: Pass only valid with participating companies, not every operator in every country accepts it. First-class passes work in both classes; second-class passes are second-class only. Cannot be used for travel wholly within the holder's country of residence except the two allotted inbound/outbound days. Standard passes are refundable or exchangeable if unused; promotional passes may not be. Brand is changing name to Interrail worldwide from 9 September 2026, which may cause temporary confusion between 'Eurail' and 'Interrail' branding in search results and older guides.
