Duża Rodzina (Large Family) discount offer

The issuer's own terms

The detail below is quoted from the issuer's own page in the language they publish it in. We do not translate another company's conditions, because a translated condition is a condition we have changed.

What it covers
Applies to all PKP Intercity train categories in Poland: EIP (Express InterCity Premium), EIC, IC and TLK, second class only. It is not a standalone pass but a percentage discount applied to normal fares for holders of the government-issued Karta Dużej Rodziny (Large Family Card).
Who can buy it
Requires the Karta Dużej Rodziny, issued by the family's home municipality to families with at least three children, with no income limit. At least two cardholders must travel together to get the discount; it can be combined with other statutory discounts (students, pupils).
How long it lasts
Not a time-limited pass. The discount applies per journey for as long as the Karta Dużej Rodziny itself remains valid (the card has its own separate validity rules set by the Polish government, not by PKP Intercity).
What it costs
Not a fixed price product. PKP Intercity states a 30 percent discount on tickets when at least two cardholders travel together in second class; no separate purchase price is published because it is a percentage off standard fares, which vary by route and train category.
Seat reservations
Yes, in the sense that PKP Intercity trains (EIP, EIC, IC, TLK) generally use seat-specific tickets, so a seat is assigned when the discounted ticket is bought, the same as any normal PKP Intercity ticket.
What catches people out
Only valid on PKP Intercity domestic long-distance services, not on regional (Koleje Regionalne, Koleje Mazowieckie, etc.) operators covered by other schemes. Requires holding and presenting the physical or app-based Karta Dużej Rodziny plus ID. No separate 'Poland rail pass' product exists on intercity.pl for general tourists; this is a family-discount scheme, not a multi-trip pass.

What this does to an Orlero price

Nothing, yet. Our fares are point to point and are not adjusted for a pass or a card you hold. Use this page to work out whether the scheme is worth buying, and use search to find out what the same journeys cost without it.

Plan a trip from here

A pass only pays for itself against the journeys you actually make. Ask Ori for the trip and it will price the point to point fares our network holds, which is the number a pass has to beat.
