- A discount card giving roughly 30 percent off standard SNCF fares on TGV INOUI, Intercités and TER trains within France, plus fare caps on TGV INOUI second-class tickets bought with the card.
- Who can buy it
- Carte Avantage Jeune for ages 12-27, Carte Avantage Adulte for ages 28-59, Carte Avantage Senior for age 60 and over. No residency restriction identified.
- How long it lasts
- One year from a start date chosen by the buyer at purchase.
- What it costs
- Not independently verified from the operator's own page (see caveat below on fetch failure). Third-party sources report all three variants priced at EUR 49 per year, with capped second-class TGV INOUI fares reported as EUR 49 for journeys under 1h30, EUR 69 for 1h30-3h and EUR 89 for over 3h. Treat this as unverified pending direct confirmation from sncf-connect.com.
- Seat reservations
- SNCF's TGV INOUI and Intercités services generally require a seat reservation as part of normal ticket purchase regardless of card; the card itself does not add a reservation requirement, it only discounts the fare.
- What catches people out
- Discount and capped fares apply only to fares booked with the card and typically only in second class for the fare caps; availability of discounted seats at each price point is limited by SNCF's yield-managed fare buckets, so the cap is not guaranteed on every train. sncf-connect.com and sncf-voyageurs.com blocked automated fetch attempts (DataDome bot-protection challenge page returned instead of content) so these figures could not be verified directly against the issuer's own page in this session; sourceUrl is the official domain found via search, not a page this session successfully loaded.
